Family, Fission and Fusion: Hispaniola is a ground breaking exhibition
featuring the work of 14 internationally recognized Haitian and Dominican
contemporary artists living in New York City. Hispaniola is a group show
that combines the work of artists whose heritage stem from two countries
which share a common island, but not necessarily a common culture.
The exhibition is curated by Jerry Philogene and Rocio-Aranda-Alvarado.
Opening Reception: Sunday, September 26, 1999, 2:00-6:00 p.m.
Artists' talk: Sunday, October 3rd and October 17th. Free and open to the
public.
