André Ricardo (b. 1985) was born and is based in São Paulo, Brazil. He received a Bachelor's degree in Painting at the School of Communications and Arts at the University of São Paulo. Ricardo's vivid paintings are imbued with a personal heritage as an individual of Latin American and Afro-Brazilian descent. His sensitive and chromatic compositions are a visual manifestation of his childhood and function as a lexicon of Brazilian icons, memories and affect.
