"Priscilla Monge's work (San José, Costa Rica, 1968) Este es un lugar seguro (This is a Safe Place) suggests the condition of an intimate, interior place, where writing and art surpass real life by providing a space for asylum and security where death does not exist."
Monge investigates the relationship of power and hierarchies in quotidian relationships. Using a wide variety of mediums spanning from photography, film, sculpture, to installations, her art explores the complex relation between love and aggression using humor and cynicism as tools for connoting the imperceptible violence in everyday life.
