HM&C Artist Debora Hirsch has ventured into the sphere of digital art linked to blockchain, NFTS, and the metaverse. In collaboration with Argentine artist Martin Gimenez Larralde, they founded 1500Labs, and they are interested in the themes of consumerism as it relates to the fashion and luxury industry.
Hirsch and Gimenez Larralde photographed the storefronts and objects along the Quadrilatero della Moda in Milan and transformed the products of fashion or design brands into mysterious forms of archaeological relics that could have served as status symbols in the past. The metamorphosis reflects what Gimenez Larralde has defined as “the hyper-temporal nature of these superfluous objects,” in which past, present, and future are condensed into the synthesis of the images created by 1500Labs.
Recently, Poseidon DAO, a pioneering collector of NFTS since 2015, has offered 1500Labs to host its own Space on SuperRare that will feature five sound and video animations. This step reflects Poseidon DAO's goal to bring well-known, established artists into the NFT market.
