Organized by Art In Brackets, the group exhibition How Boundless are Dreamlands?, which includes the artist Priscilla Monge, opens this Labor Day weekend in the Head of Pond House B&B at 403 Head of Pond Road, Water Mill, NY 11976.
The body of works on view disrupt geographic and imaginary boundaries that have confined art from the global south. Art In Brackets brings together a diverse group of artists in both materiality and research interests—expanding the possibilities of readings of any individual or collective from a traditional notion of western art. Each artists’ practice, their dreamlands, is presented without hierarchy and in conversation with each other and the surrounding space. These artists all engage with contemporary art discourses in unique ways, resisting any attempts at categorization.
Art in Brackets culturally translates for artists, galleries, and institutions throughout the US and abroad, fostering connections and collaborations with the vibrant creative community of NYC.
