Debora Hirsch's PLANT (Dianthus guliae Janka) is now in the permanent collection of Santa Maria della Scala, Siena.

This work was presented at the group exhibition RAGGIOVERDE, curated by Michela Eremita, in collaboration with the Comune di Siena, the Università di Siena, the Museo dell’Antartide, and the Museo Orto Botanico di Siena.

Regarding PLANT (Dianthus guliae Janka), Ilaria Bonini, PhD, Director of the Botanical Museum (Botanical Garden, Herbarium) SIMUS Department of Life Sciences, University of Siena, introduced her to this plant. It is extinct in the wild in Tuscany and endangered in Abruzzo, Campania, Basilicata, and Calabria, with only a few specimens left. This very peculiar flower resembles wood shavings from a sharpened pencil.
