HM&C presents a solo presentation of Priscilla Monge's work at Stand P-05 in the curated section Sección Proyectos of ARTBO | Bogotá International Art Fair in Bogotá, Colombia, open from September 25th-29th.
For this edition of ARTBO | Fair, the Proyectos section is curated by Juan Canela (Spain, b. 1980), Chief Curator of the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Panamá, co-curator of the 23rd Paiz Art Biennial in Guatemala and curator of El Patio ABC Baja California, Mexico. He has previously served as Artistic Director of ZONAMACO Mexico City (2020-2023); Associate Curator of the Centro de Residencias Artísticas de Matadero Madrid (2020- 2021) and Research and Symposium Associate of the osloBIENNALEN FIRST EDITION (2019-2020).
"What are the links between bodies and their territories? How does a given landscape define the cultural manifestations of the communities that inhabit it? Are bodies devices of memory itself? How does the history of these bodies in common define the future of the territory? Can we understand the body as territory itself? Should we understand language beyond orality or writing? How is culture woven between land, gesture and word? How do identities emerge, develop and change?"
