Debora Hirsch in "Bajo presión/ Under Pressure"

HM&C Artist Debora Hirsch is included in Bajo presión/ Under Pressure, which presents the work of 103 artists from 20 countries in two exhibition spaces: La Sede Gallery, in the Antiguo Asilo de la Beneficencia, and the Antiguo Arsenal de la Marina Española, both in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.

"Pressure is one of the central actions in graphic arts printing processes. Whether by means of the traditional press, the most sophisticated digital printers or the rudimentary spoon, the engraved impression on a paper support, fabric or similar receiving material implies the use of a force that transforms the surface into the bearer of an imprint. This action metaphorically serves us to explore the functions of the graphic arts in contemporary aesthetic debates, from artivism and the use of hypermedia socialization platforms to the impact of climate change, migratory crises produced by poverty and socio-political violence, and artificial intelligence, which opens new paths for art while threatening the creative labor sector."
