Argentine artist Pablo Suárez (1937-2006) is primarily known for his figurative painting and sculpture which often examines the human condition. Suárez was self-taught; however, he attended workshops with artists Raquel Forner and Alfredo Bigatti, and was mentored by Antonio Berni. Suárez famously collaborated with Marta Minujín and Rubén Santanonín to produce La Menesunda (1965) at the Instituto Torquato Di Tella in Buenos Aires. Suárez exhibited widely in Latin America, and also participated in shows in Europe and the United States.
